Pneumonia forced me to reappraise work
For several days I had tubes down my nose into my stomach and sticking out of my arm, oxygen into my nostrils, and a catheter. Several doctors who questioned me asked “do you usually talk like that?” since my speech was slurred. My partner and siblings were seriously worried.
