ReadWISE WORDS – CANTERBURY, 6 APRIL. I’m giving two talks at this weekend festival. The first, at 2pm, is on my book about the self The Ego Trick, while the second, at 4:30, is about my new one, The Virtues of the Table.
ReadWe can’t just choose what to believe because it would be convenient to do so. Of course, people do sometimes deceive themselves to avoid uncomfortable truths but that usually happens unconsciously. Believing by mere force of effort is nigh on impossible.
